Eric Sterbis is a senior attorney assigned to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office Organized Retail Crime (FORCE) unit. As one of the leaders of the nationally recognized FORCE team, Eric’s goal and mission have been focused on combating retail specific crime through specifically targeted prosecutions of those inflicting significant financial damage to retailers.

Having served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for over 17 years, Eric has extensive experience prosecuting a variety of criminal offenses. Eric has served in multiple high-profile units while being a prosecutor including a unit specifically targeting non-fatal shootings through the use of a grand jury and having served in the homicide division of one of the country's most busy prosecutor’s office in Detroit Michigan.

Eric earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University having majored in the university’s prestigious law enforcement and justice administration program. Eric followed up his undergraduate academic achievements by earning his juris doctorate degree at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2006.

In his free time Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and 4-year-old son Sam. When time permits Eric still enjoys running marathons, having completed the Boston Marathon 4 times and being a top 100 American finisher of the New York City Marathon.
